According to research by uSwich.com, Apple’s iPhone 4 has claimed the top spot as the UK's favourite mobile handset ahead of HTC’s Desire series and Samsung’s Galaxy S range.

The iPhone’s rise to top spot of the UK sales charts comes just a few days after Apple revealed that profits from the iPhone 4 have risen 95% over the past three months with more than 18 million sold.

Popularity for the device looks set to continue as the long awaited white version is rumored to be released and available from tomorrow (April 27th), 10 months after the original iPhone 4.
