Mac OS X Lion is now available from the Mac App Store for £20.99 and has over 250 features.
New features include:
Mission Control: bringing together full-screen apps, Dashboard, Exposé, and Spaces in one new feature that gives the user a bird’s-eye view of everything on their system.
Launchpad: looking and acting like the home screen on an iOS device, Launchpad is a new full-screen home for all the apps on a users Mac.
Resume: allowing users to restart their Mac and return to what they were doing, with all their apps in the exact places they left them.
Auto Save: automatically saves what a user is working on meaning they won’t lose hours of work it they forget to press Command-S.
To install Mac OS X Lion, users will need the latest version of Mac OS X Snow Leopard already installed on a mac with at least 2GB RAM, 4GB free disk space, access to the internet (a fast broadband connection is highly recommended) and an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor.
A physical release of Mac OS X Lion is planned for release in August on memory stick. The spot will keep you informed as to when this is released.
