The rumours are true. Apple will be launching a new product on March 7th.

The event, to be held in San Francisco is expected to be for the launch of the iPad 3.

Reported earlier this month by us, the iPad 3 was rumoured to feature a design roughly the same as the iPad 2 but with a new quad-core A6 processor and a 2048x1536 retina display.

However, recent reports suggest that the iPad 3 may now have a different processor known as the A5X and will not feature a home button.

Other reports suggest that Apple could also preview the much anticipated iTV at this event.

As usual, Apple do not comment on rumours and speculation so it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see what surprises they have in store for us on the 7th.
