Apple launched its latest version of the iPad yesterday from the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, California.
The new device has a battery life of 10hours and features a new 2048x1536 pixel resolution retina display, 4 times more pixels than the iPad 2.
To power the new display, Apple have installed a new A5X chip with quad core graphics meaning the device runs just as smooth as its predecessor.
Other new features include a 5 megapixel iSight camera capable of shooting 1080p HD video and 4G capabilities for US customers.
Surprisingly, Siri will not feature on the new iPad, however Apple did announce updates to GarageBand and iMovie.
Apple also announced iPhoto for the iPad with various editing and effects tools as well as an update to the Apple TV, which is now capable of streaming 1080p HD content.
